Em nosso trabalho, constatamos que uma forma de medita\u00e7\u00e3o mindfulness, o treinamento integrativo mente-corpo (IBMT), melhorou a FA em \u00e1reas ao redor do c\u00f3rtex cingulado anterior ap\u00f3s 4 semanas de treinamento, mais do que em grupos de controle que receberam treinamento de relaxamento. Redu\u00e7\u00f5es na difusividade radial (RD) t\u00eam sido interpretadas como melhoria da mielina, mas redu\u00e7\u00f5es na difusividade axial (AD) envolvem outros mecanismos, como a densidade axonal. Relatamos agora que, ap\u00f3s 4 semanas de IBMT, tanto RD quanto AD diminuem, acompanhadas por aumento na FA, indicando que a maior efici\u00eancia da subst\u00e2ncia branca envolve o aumento de mielina, bem como outras altera\u00e7\u00f5es axonais. No entanto, 2 semanas de IBMT reduziram a AD, mas n\u00e3o a RD ou a FA, e melhoraram o humor. Nossos resultados demonstram a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o temporal da neuroplasticidade da subst\u00e2ncia branca em pr\u00e1ticas de medita\u00e7\u00e3o de curto prazo.
