Dans les ann\u00e9es 1970, le Dr Cade a cr\u00e9\u00e9 son propre \u00e9quipement EEG-Neurofeedback (MindMirror) et a men\u00e9 des recherches approfondies avec des swamis, des yogis et des moines bouddhistes, afin de d\u00e9couvrir ce qui se passait dans la physiologie de leur cerveau au moment de la m\u00e9ditation. Le Dr Cade a ainsi ouvert la voie \u00e0 l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de ce processus et l\u2019a expliqu\u00e9 scientifiquement, alors qu\u2019auparavant on ne le comprenait qu\u2019\u00e0 travers une interpr\u00e9tation spirituelle. Son livre consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 ces recherches, \u00ab\u202fThe Awakened Mind\u202f\u00bb (1979), demeure encore aujourd\u2019hui tout \u00e0 fait remarquable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-5b77ff4e\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Dr Lazar \u2013 D\u2019autres effets b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques de la m\u00e9ditation mesur\u00e9s par r\u00e9sonance magn\u00e9tique<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec l\u2019avanc\u00e9e des technologies d\u2019imagerie c\u00e9r\u00e9brale par r\u00e9sonance magn\u00e9tique \u00e0 haute r\u00e9solution, de nouvelles \u00e9tudes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9es, montrant que les effets de la m\u00e9ditation vont bien au-del\u00e0 de ce que l\u2019on pouvait initialement croire. L\u2019augmentation de la mati\u00e8re grise dans le cortex frontal, dans des zones li\u00e9es \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire et \u00e0 la prise de d\u00e9cision, est particuli\u00e8rement importante, car il est largement document\u00e9 que la taille du cortex diminue avec le vieillissement de l\u2019individu \u2013 et que le cerveau commence \u00e0 perdre certaines de ses capacit\u00e9s fonctionnelles. Dans quatre d\u2019entre elles, on a constat\u00e9 une augmentation du volume\u202f:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La diff\u00e9rence la plus marquante concerne le cingulum post\u00e9rieur, impliqu\u00e9 dans l\u2019errance mentale et la conscience de soi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L\u2019hippocampe gauche, qui intervient dans l\u2019apprentissage, la cognition, la m\u00e9moire et la r\u00e9gulation \u00e9motionnelle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La jonction temporo-pari\u00e9tale (TPJ), associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la prise de perspective, \u00e0 l\u2019empathie et \u00e0 la compassion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Une zone du tronc c\u00e9r\u00e9bral appel\u00e9e \u00ab\u202fle pont\u202f\u00bb, o\u00f9 sont produits de nombreux neurotransmetteurs r\u00e9gulateurs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019amygdale, la zone du cerveau responsable de la r\u00e9action de \u00ab\u202fcombat ou fuite\u202f\u00bb et qui est importante pour l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, la peur et le stress en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, a diminu\u00e9 de taille chez le groupe ayant suivi le programme de r\u00e9duction du stress bas\u00e9 sur la pleine conscience (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction)<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC2840837\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">*<\/a>. Cette modification de l\u2019amygdale \u00e9tait \u00e9galement corr\u00e9l\u00e9e \u00e0 une baisse des niveaux de stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-6fee78a5\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Comment le stress d\u00e9truit litt\u00e9ralement votre cerveau<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Les effets n\u00e9fastes du stress sur le cerveau sont connus depuis 1991, principalement \u00e0 cause du cortisol et de l\u2019adr\u00e9naline. Ces hormones li\u00e9es au stress affectent non seulement les fonctions c\u00e9r\u00e9brales, mais modifient \u00e9galement la structure physique du cerveau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019hormone du stress qu\u2019est le cortisol peut tuer, r\u00e9tr\u00e9cir et stopper la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de nouveaux neurones dans une partie du cerveau appel\u00e9e l\u2019hippocampe*. L\u2019hippocampe est essentiel pour l\u2019apprentissage, la m\u00e9moire et la r\u00e9gulation \u00e9motionnelle, ainsi que pour mettre fin \u00e0 la r\u00e9ponse au stress une fois l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement stressant termin\u00e9\u202f: autant de processus indispensables, aussi bien dans notre vie professionnelle que personnelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le stress chronique peut \u00e9galement r\u00e9tr\u00e9cir le cortex pr\u00e9frontal m\u00e9dian<a href=\"https:\/\/alphalearning.com\/neurofeedback-meditation-stress-relief\/#\">*<\/a>. Cela impacte n\u00e9gativement la prise de d\u00e9cision, la m\u00e9moire de travail et le contr\u00f4le des comportements impulsifs. Le stress peut aussi affecter les <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Neural_stem_cell\">cellules souches <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Neural_stem_cell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">neuronales<\/a>, en limitant l\u2019acc\u00e8s au cortex pr\u00e9frontal, o\u00f9 nous planifions un comportement cognitif complexe et mod\u00e9rons les interactions sociales. Le r\u00e9sultat est un cerveau moins apte \u00e0 apprendre et \u00e0 cr\u00e9er de nouveaux souvenirs, et plus enclin \u00e0 l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et \u00e0 la d\u00e9pression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces alt\u00e9rations c\u00e9r\u00e9brales peuvent avoir des cons\u00e9quences importantes sur notre fa\u00e7on d\u2019interagir avec les autres, notre capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 apprendre, \u00e0 nous souvenir, \u00e0 prendre des d\u00e9cisions et \u00e0 atteindre des objectifs \u00e0 long terme. Elles rendent \u00e9galement plus difficile la bonne gestion de situations stressantes \u00e0 l\u2019avenir, conduisant ainsi \u00e0 un cercle vicieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:2px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" id=\"stress-relief-through-eeg-guided-meditation\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-9ead7cd8\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Neurofeedback et entra\u00eenement c\u00e9r\u00e9bral \u2013 R\u00e9duction du stress gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la m\u00e9ditation guid\u00e9e par EEG<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Dr Cade, apr\u00e8s plus de 4\u202f500 \u00e9lectroenc\u00e9phalogrammes enregistr\u00e9s, a pu identifier l\u2019\u00e9tat Alpha comme le c\u0153ur de la m\u00e9ditation. Lorsque l\u2019on mesure les ondes c\u00e9r\u00e9brales d\u2019une personne se trouvant dans cet \u00e9tat m\u00e9ditatif, mais focalis\u00e9e mentalement, l\u2019\u00e9cran affiche une onde Alpha lente, autour de 7\u202fHz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans son ouvrage The Awakened Mind, le Dr Cade conclut\u202f: \u00ab\u202fAtteindre une fr\u00e9quence Alpha de 9\u202fHz n\u00e9cessite deux \u00e0 cinq\u202fans d\u2019exp\u00e9rience en m\u00e9ditation. Avec dix \u00e0 vingt\u202fans de pratique, nous constatons que la fr\u00e9quence Alpha se situe autour de 7\u202fHz.\u202f\u00bb Cette conclusion est \u00e9tay\u00e9e par les recherches de Michael Hutchison, qui affirme\u202f: \u00ab\u202fSeuls les moines zen ayant m\u00e9dit\u00e9 plus de 20\u202fans peuvent acc\u00e9der volontairement aux \u00e9tats Alpha (7\u202fHz) \u2013 Theta (3\u202fHz).\u202f\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Brainwave III permet, en quelques jours, d\u2019atteindre ce que l\u2019on croyait jusque-l\u00e0 n\u00e9cessiter dix \u00e0 vingt\u202fans.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"458\" src=\"https:\/\/alphalearning.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/alpha-meditation-alphalearning-1024x458.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-708\" style=\"width:698px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/alphalearning.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/alpha-meditation-alphalearning-1024x458.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/alphalearning.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/alpha-meditation-alphalearning-300x134.jpg 300w, https:\/\/alphalearning.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/alpha-meditation-alphalearning-768x343.jpg 768w, https:\/\/alphalearning.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/alpha-meditation-alphalearning-1536x687.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/alphalearning.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/alpha-meditation-alphalearning.jpg 1899w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La Brainwave Station se compose d\u2019un module d\u2019EEG-Neurofeedback (un \u00e9quipement EEG qui, reli\u00e9 \u00e0 un ordinateur, enregistre les fr\u00e9quences c\u00e9r\u00e9brales en temps r\u00e9el et facilite l\u2019entra\u00eenement) et d\u2019un module de stimulus optico-acoustique (qui, branch\u00e9 \u00e0 un autre ordinateur, impl\u00e9mente dans le cerveau les fr\u00e9quences souhait\u00e9es). Cet \u00e9quipement est remis au client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le processus de base suit les \u00e9tapes suivantes, toujours avec une analyse EEG en temps r\u00e9el\u202f:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Dans un premier temps, nous enregistrons un EEG pendant que le client r\u00e9alise un test de 4\u202fminutes, portant sur six fonctions intellectuelles diff\u00e9rentes, ce qui permet d\u2019obtenir 24 aspects distincts de cette lecture EEG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Apr\u00e8s l\u2019analyse de cette lecture, nous s\u00e9lectionnons (ou \u00e9laborons) un programme de stimuli optico-acoustiques qui va lancer l\u2019entra\u00eenement proprement dit pendant 12\u202fminutes. Cet \u00e9quipement introduit certaines fr\u00e9quences directement dans le cerveau. \u00c0 ce stade, le client apprend \u00e0 atteindre imm\u00e9diatement l\u2019\u00e9tat Alpha et Theta, et l\u2019ordinateur confirme qu\u2019il se situe dans les param\u00e8tres corrects de ces fr\u00e9quences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Nous refaisons ensuite le test de 4\u202fminutes (\u00e9tape\u202f1 ci-dessus).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.
